Melt Glass Charleston is a glass working studio based in South Carolina.  We accept commissions to create custom objects of glass. From jewelry to home accents and large installation, we work one-on-one with our clients from design through fabrication and installation. We have a production line of unique glass sculptures, jewelry and gifts.

Wm. Austin Norvell

Norvell was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He worked with mold making in college in England and learned foundry work at College of Charleston. Norvell has maintained glass working studios throughout the Southeast since 2000. In 2004 he was introduced to glass casting at the Penland School of Crafts. Immediately following the workshop, he purchased a kiln and began what would be a decade of intense study and experimentation in cast glass though workshops, apprenticeships, studio visits and collaborations. For the last eight years, Norvell has worked seasonally for Berengo Studios in Murano, Italy, creating glass work for internationally known artists. He's excited to share the possibilities of glass with the Charleston community!​
